social nesting

Well, the tree is down and the red and green sugar sprinkles are at the back of the baking cupboard, but it’s still Stayfestival… the Social Nesting holiday that encourages the continuation of feeling fun after the 25^th of December.

So if you’re looking for a little Stayfestival present for yourself, celebrate under the big top with the newest trend to be enveloped by the design zeitgeist, the circus. And man is it coming!

Or it’s here, really. When I saw these Jonathan Adler ornaments before Christmas, I was convinced that the big top was going to be big trend.

Everywhere I look, there are strongmen and tents, clowns and colour. A little bit campy, a little bit retro and a whole lot of fun. No more so than in a whole range by Spanish toy and games company Londji.

Slip on your unitard (FYI – it’s to be the “onesie” for spring 2013), pick up a whip (a Fifty Shades-inspired Christmas present, maybe?) and get your candy-floss fingers at the ready.
