My favourite brands are precious
to me… especially those that are hard-to-find and that I stumble
upon accidentally. Riess, the Austrian enamelware company, is one such brand.
Riess’ light yet sturdy enamel pots and pans clean up a dream (I wouldn’t risk making a potentially messy dish in anything but our Riess roasting pan), but the colour palette of their Classic range has always been a bit twee for me. Candy-fluff pinks, yellows and greens that are just bearable but not the stuff of a truly contemporary kitchen.
Until now.
It’s as if Riess snuck into my kitchenware dreams and went “We can do you one better, Elias” with their latest collection.
A collaboration with German celeb chef Sarah Wiener, Reiss has launched Edition Sarah Wiener. This dip-painted range is absolutely beautiful. Strong hues and quirky colour-blocking make this range fun and bang-on-trend.
And the visual campaign, featuring Sarah Wiener seemingly having quite a bit of fun, is the perfect accompaniment to the range.
I can’t seem to find it available anywhere but in Germany, so I may have to call upon the services of my goddaughter’s mother for a little ‘hilfe’. Wish me luck.
