The Brits among you may laugh at the headline, but there truly is an art to packing for a state of flux…
Especially when the flux involves the contents of your office – imagine box after box of fabrics, ribbons, papers and tools – in a shipping container crossing the ocean and only a sliver of room in your suitcase for an edit of the essentials.
So when Kate left this comment on our last post…
We thought – “heck yeah – we’re dedicated!” For without those essentials, we would be tearing our hair out or dropping serious change just to keep our hands busy. And we couldn’t have done our fab drawers, or any of the other projects that are on the go, without them.
So here is the edit of the couldn’t-live-withouts that made the airplane journey.
Won’t bore with the obvs run-through, but the highlights include:
mt CASA wide washi tape (for all your IKEA hacking needs); a cutting mat for making any surface cuttable (floor, stairs, partner’s back); a retractable blade (the same one we took to the UK from Canada over 20 years ago); Household GOOP (the best multi-purpose glue we have ever found); dot stickers (because everything should be polka-dot); a pad shaped like a crab (because when you are taking a list to the hardware store, it may as well be crab-shaped)…
Watch how they come into play over the coming weeks…
