Good old NPR – like it’s not enough that the iconic grass-roots radio station already fills my mornings with This American Life archives and my weekends with the dulcet tones of Terry Gross and the kicky music and funny musings of the Pop Culture Happy Hour crew – but a recipe too! Is there anything this little-radio-station-that-could can’t do?
And not only a recipe, but a fun, original, easy and impressive recipe. A recipe for something I can proudly keep in my fridge and use to impress the socks off of summertime guests.

The smoky mix of spices and tea – all easily available in a supermarket – makes about four cups of liquid heaven, that you dilute 50/50 with milk to make a killer drink.
And I can not encourage you enough to play with this recipe – make it sweeter or less sweet – spicier or less spicy – stronger or weaker – it really does open itself up for fantastic and very personal experimentation.
‘Round our household, we’ve mixed it with hot milk, with cold milk over ice and with almond milk, always to deliciously astonishing results.
I am even going to do a decaf earl grey version for night time as I could easily drink this 24-7. Absolutely delicious.
